Introduction
Welcome to LeaderW@RE! During the discussion, my intention is to guide you through an overview of LeaderW@RE.
We want to share with you how
this set of DYNAMICS evolved and emerged within
the practice of my global coaching practice, and
what my intentions are in helping leaders face the
Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous (VUCA)
conditions we face now around the world.
“In one of his most profound and fundamental
points, Lewin identifies the need for dynamics in
social sciences…” (Page 50),
http://www.sergeyivanov.org/
Things are just getting “too” complex for any of
us, and most of the problems we have today evolve
around our own awareness of when we are in over
our heads and fail to reach out for help!
Most of us are not naturally collaborative.
In fact, at least in the United States, where I am
from, our sense of “freedom and independence”
often places us at odds with complexity and
problems end up solving us, instead of us solving
them!
This is currently reflected in our stance around
the world, in our politics, leadership and
perceptions. This notion doesn’t make us bad, or
worse, but it doesn’t help us either as things get
more complex and we overrun our own abilities to
solve complex problems.
With that
indictment, so to speak, I believe that what we
will have to be, do, have, become, and contribute,
is a system that does essentially two things:
1) supports the growth of
individual self-awareness, and
2) promotes collaboration. There are many ways I
believe that can be done… and
LeaderW@RE is “one” way
I have tested that provides tools for leaders to
do both of those two things.
We want to
leave you with one idea:
“…the process
of self-organization corresponds to an endogenous
decision making process, giving the impression
that a superior intention is at work. By
recognizing the endogenous nature of decision
making that is embedded in any self-organization
process, we clarify the meaning of intention and
will, which are possessed by the complex system
itself.” – Yukalov and Sornette
So, before we rationalize that we can yet design
again our perfect behaviors, we have to understand
the nature of self-organization which is at work
in decision-making.
Our goal is to help
you with tools which help you learn more about
yourself and others, enhances the potential in
your self-awareness and informs your leader
awareness in the process.
Welcome to VUCA! We hope you pick up valuable
