MJ: We have about one minute. Is there anything that comes up for you?

[pause 5]
NS: Yes. I’ve started a new… I guess it’s a new course and it’s simulation based and I’m not sure if you know, but it’s the ACLS course which is the Advanced Cardiac Life Support which is like an advanced form of CPR. However, it’s really, it’s usually a knowledge and skills set used in a code type of situation. When I say code, it’s like in a situation where you are resuscitating patients, near death.

MJ: Yah.

NS: So, the audience that I am teaching to are a, comes with a variety of skill sets, such as medical students, respiratory therapists, critical care nurse and a brand new nurse. So they come in with such a vastly different skill and knowledge set that it’s really difficult to form them as a team so that they can get a positive outcome from this particular course. And so… a lot of times I’m really challenged with how I’m going to approach this because of this difference in skill sets. But I sort of have a vision on how to do this… It’s just like I feel like I don’t… I get stuck at various places… I’m finding ways to communicate so I can get a better outcome.

MJ: Do you have people you can reach out to?

NS: Yes, I do have resources, yes.

MJ: Have you thought about a focus group type of approach?

[pause – 4]
NS: Let’s see… It’s not a situation where I can have a focus group. It’s a two-day course and I have to really… the goal for this is that I need to make sure they have the skill sets. They can practice it… and then of course they have to have their knowledge sets which we test them on… So… I can’t… I guess I don’t know if it’s considered a focus group… It’s a course.

MJ: Yes, We’re going to stop the session here.
